This Hamptons style river home was completed in 2019 for an interstate investor. The brief was to create an affordable, yet spacious 4 bedroom home that could either be sold as an investment property or holiday home. The site was in a great location and sat on inside a flood prone area along the Noosa River. The building envelope was only 8.5m wide and shared a drive-way on an easement with the property next door.

The team got to work on the brief and presented this solution. The original home was removed and work begun building the main habitable structure above the flood level. The site was naturally oriented to the North, so the main entertaining area was generously positioned over looking the pool-area downstairs, while a large undercover deck was located directly above extending out from the master bedroom, taking advantage of the river glimpses whilst shielding the space from direct sunlight during the day.

We created a second flexible living space downstairs that would be used as a media room, office or fourth bedroom that included a two-way powder room for guests. All bedrooms featured large windows, Hamptons inspired doors, and generous sleeping spaces. There was intentional thought into the internal storage spaces and nooks for reading, relaxing and study. We created an extra wide double garage for extra storage and two vehicle spaces for additional off-street parking options.

The home was sold to an amazing family that will continue to enjoy this beautiful home well into the future. The Greystone Team were delighted to present and construct this project.
